ABOUT THE BAND DIRECTOR Nick Albano is a 1997 graduate of Danbury High School. He went on to study classical music performance at Western Connecticut State University. He spent a short time at Manhattan School of Music enrolled in a master’s degree program for jazz drum set before transferring to University of Bridgeport to obtain a master’s degree in education, and Connecticut Certification. He has been a marching percussion instructor at Danbury High School and at Norwalk High School. He has been Asst. Camp Director at the Western Connecticut Summer Music Program for the past few years. He has also performed in many small ensembles throughout the area. For the past few years Nick has been teaching elementary band in the Danbury Public Schools. FOR YOUR INFORMATION The Danbury Band-Aids Inc. is a parent's organization which supports our students in the DHS Music Program. We are very active supporting our Marching Band, Color Guard, Winter Guard and Winter Percussion. But we are also here to support all students in the Concert and Symphonic Bands. We offer fundraisers to help offset the cost of the annual music trip. Please support all our students and attend our monthly general meetings.
