WELCOME TO THE DANBURY HIGH SCHOOL
MARCHING BAND WEBSITE
The Danbury High School Band Program is
committed to offering students an opportunity to learn, perform, and
explore music. We are a hard working organization that takes pride in our
accomplishments and strives to better ourselves at every opportunity. So
please enjoy our website and come see us perform sometime.

Class of 2009 Scholarship Winners
The Band Aids organization was
pleased to award scholarships to Jessica
Berry, Patricia Campos, Jessica Cardamone, Marnie Cutler, Karen Farbman,
Matt Hsiung, Gina Maffucci, Tiffany Ramgolam, Matt Salvatore and Shaun
Sander.
Congratulations to all of our
graduating seniors and best of luck with your future plans.
End of Year Picnic

Despite the rainy, cool
weather, a good time was had by all at the band picnic. The budget for next
season was passed; recognition of each student's contributions given by Mr.
Albano; and recognition and thanks given to Mr. Nick Albano for his
dedication and endless hours of hard work that he put into this program -
students and parents alike will miss him...

Ad
Sales for 2009/2010 Marching Band Season
Ad Sale packets
were distributed at the picnic on June 9th. If you did not get a packet,
either look for it in your child's backpack or in the mail in the next few
days.
Latest ad sales news: the
inside front cover has been sold.
If you have any questions about selling ads, contact Crystal
Rumph or Susan
Cohen. More forms and information are available on the website
including a list of
what has already been sold. (As of 7/3/09)
Participation fees remain the same as last year, despite the decrease
in income that Band Aids experienced in 2008/2009. Ad sales are a great
opportunity to meet your child's participation fee and, if you sell extra
ads, to also help pay for the spring trip.
Jamboree
Committee sign-ups
Please sign
up to help at the Jamboree (October 31st). The Jamboree is a major
fundraiser for the band program, and is a huge undertaking that requires a
lot of advance planning. A number of positions need to be filled to ensure
that this event runs smoothly. Even if you know you won't be available on
the day of Jamboree, a number of jobs need to be done in the days leading up
to the event, so there are ways you can still help. Contact Jamboree Chair Joe
Brittain with any questions/more info/to sign up.
